How to Install Rustic Wooden Wall Shelves with Steel Brackets
Follow this simple step-by-step guide to securely install your MKGT solid wood wall shelves with black steel brackets.
What You'll Need
- Drill
- Screwdriver or impact driver
- Spirit level
- Pencil
- Tape measure
- Suitable wall fixings
Step-by-Step Installation
1 Choose the Shelf Position
Decide where you would like your shelf to sit and mark the desired height on the wall.
2 Position the Brackets
Place the steel brackets against the wall and use a spirit level to make sure they are straight and evenly positioned.
3 Mark the Fixing Points
Use a pencil to mark the screw holes through each bracket before drilling.
4 Drill the Wall
Drill the marked fixing points and insert suitable wall plugs where required.
5 Secure the Brackets
Fix each bracket securely to the wall and check the alignment again with a spirit level.
6 Position the Wooden Shelf
Place the solid wood shelf onto the brackets and centre it in the required position.
7 Secure the Shelf
Drive the screws through the brackets into the underside of the shelf and tighten until the shelf is firmly secured.
Installing the 2 Shelf Set
Repeat the same process for the second shelf. Before drilling, check the spacing and make sure both shelves are level and aligned.
